Del 14 al 22 de julio se llevó a cabo la primera implementación del Programa de Transferencia de Efectivo, cuyo objetivo es brindar apoyo económico a las familias afectadas por el terremoto del 16 de abril, para incentivar la reactivación de la economía local. 740 familias de Coaque y La Cabuya, provincia de Manabí fueron beneficiadas con este apoyo económico.

In 2013, Paraguay suffered from severe floods in the southern region of the country, a cash transfer programme helped affected families to recover their livelihoods. Priority was given to families of small cultivators, small cattle farmers and fishermen who had lost their means of subsistence.
